Waiting for Conversion: Auto-Printing Blocked

RightFax can leave fax items in a waiting for conversion state when the auto-printing workflow cannot complete. The documented example is a printer that is out of paper. Once the printer is available again, the queue can continue processing.

Indicators
  • Faxes remain in Waiting for conversion
  • Inbound auto-print jobs stop moving
  • The output printer is unavailable or out of paper
  • Queue resumes after the printer path is restored
Resolution Steps
01
Check the Auto-Print Output Printer
Verify the printer used by the auto-printing workflow is online and has paper. The documented failure case is a printer out of paper causing waiting for conversion behavior.
02
Restore the Printer Path
If the printer is offline, out of paper, or misdirected, restore it and confirm the service account can use the output path.
03
Retry the Stuck Jobs
Once the printer path is healthy again, retry the waiting items and confirm processing resumes.
Field Note
This is a good example of a non-obvious conversion problem that is really an output-path problem. The symptom looks like a conversion issue, but the root cause is the printer path.
